new vlogs, christmas, applications approaching, chat!

Hey guys! Sooo I've been neglecting this blog and I apologize!

Here's an update:

Christmas was awesome(I feel like I use that word too much...oh well!). Check my vlog: youtube.com/laurenwdwcp for christmas vlogs and related activities! :)
Mainly, I got a new flip mino hd camcorder, so my vlogs will now be in HD! They also take much longer to upload and process....darnit.

Applications come out very very very soon!!!!!!! Hopefully....we don't actually KNOW the date, but we're assuming somewhere in the realm of January 20th ish.

By we, i mean the OTHER FALL 2010 HOPEFULS! Check out the chat room:
http://chat.aim.com/chats/a-place-to-start/wdw-cp-fall-2010- and come say hi! Recently there's always been someone in there, which is awesome. Also, join the facebook group! Just search Walt Disney World College Program Fall 2010.

Just finished reading Mouse Tales 2, I basically abandoned my other books for it lolz. Great though, Koenig books never fail me. I'm gonna finish Mousecatraz next, then Disney War(cause it's the longest!)

Once applications are up there will be more things to blog about(hopefully!).

Biya!

More Disney books!!

Hey guys, so I picked up two more Disney related books last week! With a generous Barnes and Noble gift card(early xmas gift!).

Disney War, James B. Stewart
This is an almost 600 page book. It seems extremely daunting at first, I wasn't even going to get it! But I thought, why the heck not, and I'm SO happy I decided to.

I'm about 100 pages in, and it's amazing. It's mostly about the rise (and fall) of the Eisner era. There's a lot of history and background, so if you don't like that kind of stuff then I wouldn't pick this baby up.

But if you're a Disney history freak like I am, it's great. All the greats are here, and the backgrounds of the popular Eisner Era films are shown. The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and The Beast, etc.

It's gonna take a bit to finish, but so far it's really great. Hopefully I'll be finished in the next few weeks and will get a full review up. :)

Mousecatraz, Wesley Jones
Funny story, I ordered this book online and I kept getting emails about how it was going to take longer than expected and they asked if I wanted to cancel the order. So I was like "whatever" and did. An hour later, I got the shipment confirmation.

Then, I found out it was delivered to my house on the 16th....3 days ago. I wrote a note and was going to stick it on my front door of my apartment building asking the person who picked it up to return it to me. Then I saw it was sitting under a pile of tile boxes used to re-do the hallway. Nice.

I haven't started this one yet, but it's rather short so I can probably finish it tomorrow if I start tonight. I've heard...mixed reviews. I'll probably have a full review of it up in the next week.

I still want to do a full review of Reality land! I have to say Mouse Tales was my favorite I've read so far, Reality Land is definitely number 2.

Read any of these? Want to? Comment with your thoughts/questions!

life update!

Hiya guys!

Just thought I'd update you guys on some stuff! This semester is almost over, yayy! Which means Christmas is almost here, and New Years! And... my winter class X_X.

I have orientation for my spring semester internship at The Tyra Banks show on the 29th, that should be cool. I'll probably start that at the end/mid January right after my class ends.
Registration for Spring Semester is tomorrow, I hope I get all the classes I want, orrrr I'm gonna be pissed. I have work at 1 and reg is at 12, so I need to go to work early and bring my computer or I wont have time to get to work. Then just chill at work for an hour before clocking in.
Great.

Ah well.

Anyway, if you're reading this you should check out the Fall 2010 WDWCP chat!
