Hey guys! Just a video update! I went to Disney's A Christmas Carol Train Tour here in NYC at Grand Central Station last night! It was so cool! I have video/pics from it in this vlog! ;)

Vacation, all I ever wanted!

Realityland

Hey guys! So I bought a new Disney book yesterday, Realityland: True-Life Adventures at Walt Disney World by David Koenig(I seriously want to meet this guy). I love it!

I'm only on page 59, but basically it starts explaining the beginnings of WDW and EPCOT. Before and after Walt's death. Planning, buying land, legislative changes, etc. It will probably go into the parks themselves in a few more chapters. Because this book is only available in hardcover, it's a but pricey(It was $27 but I'm a B&N member so it took about $5 off), but it's totally worth it. I've seen it online for about $18 on Amazon and I TOTALLY suggest picking it up. Especially as a current/past/future CPer.

One question I have for you guys, where can I pick up/order Mousecatraz?? There has to be a site, that I think I found awhile ago but lost, to order it. I know it's basically complete BS, but for interest reasons I want to check it out. Sooooo if someone could post a link I'd be forever grateful! :)

Preferably, I'd like to get a cheap used copy...lmfao.

Wasn't feeling well this morning so I called out of work. :( A wave of nausea hit me. It's gone now though, and I should really start on my History paper.

DRIVING!

So, today I drove for the first time EVER. I've had my permit for almost a year now, but never took the process any further! Being a CP hopeful, I plan on taking a car down to Orlando with me if I get in! Therefore, I need to know how to drive.

I enlisted the help of my good friend Jason. So we took my mothers car and headed to a parking lot.

Hilarity ensues.

Ten things about me!

So, I was checking out some blogs tonight and saw one person did a ten things about me entry....so I'm shamelessly copying that person and doing one as well. :)

1. I Love Television: I am a media major an

d plan on WORKING in TV one day, so this is

a given. My all time FAVORITE TV show is Gilmore Girls... but I'm definitely a reality show junkie. I'm hooked on The Office, Heroes, Big Brother, Flash Forward, and there are a bunch more. This says it all:

2. I Buy More Books Than I Have Time To Read In My Lifetime: This is too true. I've got a large bookcase full plus my desk.....I haven't read half of them. Ah well.

3. I Stay Up Late For No Reason: Even if I have work or school sadistically early the next day. It's a lost art, in my opinion.

4. If I Wasn't A Chicken, I'd Probably Be An Actress: Don't get me wrong, I've taken my share of acting/improv classes. And I'm not horrible! But it's not my kind of business. I'd rather sit at a computer editing some video for hours. Ya know.

5. I'm Single: And not-so-lovin' it. Although,

this kind of thing is probably why..........Naw!

6. If I Could Marry Any Actor In The World, It Would Be Milo Ventimiglia: Cause I'm just a freak like that. And he's freaking awesome. I don't think I can count on one hand the amount of times I've met him and trust me, he's freaking awesome.

7. I Hate Fish, Coconuts, Onions, Tomatoes and Peppers: Just a random note. Not a fan.

8. I've Got An Icebox Where My Hands Used To Be: My hands are usually, always cold. Not usually, always a good thing........

9. I Buy Too Many Clothes, And Thus Do Not Have Proportionate Drawer/Closet Space For All Of Them: Damnit. :(

10. My Paycheck Is Usually Gone A Day Or Two After I Receive It: Story of my life.

BOOKS!

So I went to B&N today and picked up this book: I hate that in photobooth it doesn't flip the damn photo!

Oh well, it's The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World by Susan Veness! Abby, another Fall 2010 hopeful(unless she does amazing at her audition coming up!!!! Yayyy! Hope you do!!!) recommended it! It's pretty good so far!

My Koenig book should come tomorrow(I forgot today was a holiday :( )! I should be finished with this one by then. Yes, I am doing some major highlighting. I plan on grabbing a Hidden Mickey WDW book too so when we get down there we can do the WHOLE thing! :DDDD Loves it.

Okay day today. Got three hours of sleep last night, so I'm heading in early now!

Hiya, my friends!

So I'm going to talk about some of the people I've convinced to do the WDWCP with me next Fall! ;D

First, my friend Allyson. I've known Allyson since the 7th grade, which is almost 9 years now I believe. Damn, time flies. Anyway, we really wanted to do the program last year, but as I've said it didn't work out. So when I approached her about a month ago with applying this year, she was totally in. So we're both excited. Allyson is probably a bigger Disney lover than me, mostly because she's been there wayyy more times than I have. We are going to meet next week and I will probably have her do a vlog with me! :)

Secondly, my friend Cynthia(or Vazquez, Vaz for short, because my best friends name is Cynthia too, so I call her Vazquez to end confusion). I met Vaz at my current job, The NBC Store, last year. We were hired together but never really spoke much until a few months ago. We realized we were a lot alike, so we became friends real fast. I told her about the program and she loves Disney as well so she was in easy! She is graduating NYU this May, but as long as you apply for the cp while you're in school, you can do the program even though you'll have already graduated when you're in Disney. Made sure that was possible first before telling her and getting her excited about it! :X

So that's my story. I have a few other friends who are interested as well, but this is the core group that is definitely applying! If we do get in, we will mostly likely live in the same apt(hopefully they will be as excited for Chatham as I am! Or Patterson.... Allyson drives and I will probably get my license this summer. That's the only thing I was worried about if I lived at Patterson, the lack of busses. But with cars then it's fine!). I wanted to do a 2 bedroom, but a 3 bedroom might be more fun.

When the app date gets closer we should all do some serious chats! :) So we can all get to know each other, etc. I also love how some of you are on the youtube bandwagon already as well! :DD Amazing!

I just got a desk in my room, which I LOVE, so doing vlogs will be a lot easier and cooler! There won't be a blank wall background but my cool posters! :))

Ok well I think I'll go do some school stuff! Talk to you guys later!

1am Ramblings.

Hello anyone who is reading this! Who knows if anyone is, but I can hope, right? Anywho, maybe I should make a Livejournal..... too late!

So it's 1:30 am here in NYC, which means I should be asleep. But instead I'm making blog entries and vlogs and things of this nature. Especially because I have work at 11am! Oh well!

So I guess I'll talk about my love for Disney, where it came from and how it evolved when I got older. I was always a Disney kid. My uncle would buy me every new VHS tape that came out(I have the collection somewhere in my basement that should be dug out soon..). My all time favorite movie was ALWAYS The Little Mermaid. I used to watch it 4 or 5 times a day while reciting every single line of the movie! (I also ended up bringing my special edition DVD to college with me...heehee) As I got older, the fascination faded but didn't leave completely. I always LONGED to go to Disney World, but my family never really had the financial means to do so. I used to watch one of the Sing-A-Long tapes about Disney Land over and over again. I finally went the summer of my Jr. High School graduation and it was one of the best vacations of my life! I couldn't wait to go back. My favorite ride, as I've mentioned, is a toss between The Great Movie Ride and The Carousel of Progress(which I made my whole family ride twice, despite their groans. I just love it!). I went again the following summer, but I haven't been able to go back since then. It's been about 4 or 5 years. I'm planning a trip this summer to hit the new Harry Potter theme park in Universal(I'm a HP freak, so this I'm SO INCREDIBLY PSYCHED about!!!) And if all works out well, that will be right before I start my Fall 2010 College Program!

Anyway, I've been researching this program for MONTHS, finding everything I could about it. One thing about me, I'm a crazy researcher. If something is there to be found, I can find it. One thing I lovelovelove about Disney is it's intense history. I watch any kind of Walt Disney or Disney World/Land documentary I can get my hands on(That includes hours in front of the TV on the Travel Channel and on YouTube). I just ordered one of my first Disney secrets books, Mouse Tails by David Koenig! It was shipped today and I better get it by Monday.....I'll check out B&N tomorrow after work to see if they have any of the other ones I'm looking for. If you guys have any suggestions I will GLADLY take them!!!!

What elseeeeee. Work maybe? I currently work at the NBC Experience Store in Rockefeller Center. It's a pretty cool job. Really, it's retail, but there are some pretty amazing perks that come with it. I do love NBC, and would love to work there eventually. I am a film and media major, and want to work in television production. I've done internships at the Maury Show, Rachael Ray and next semester will be at The Tyra Banks show.

I think a big part of me wanting to do the college program is getting out of NYC for a bit. I was born and raised here, but it gets so hectic and crazy sometimes you just NEED to get away for awhile. I was planning on going to college out of state, but I ended up going to Pace University my first year and dorming IN manhattan, which was really fun for awhile. Then it got too expensive so I transferred out and now I go Hunter College. A lot cheaper, same education really. I'm back at home in Brooklyn now though, so the commute is longer(about an hour both ways). I look at it this way, since I don't drive I'll already know what I'm getting into with the CP busses! Haha!

Speaking of that stuff, if I do get into the CP I really want to live at Chatham. I've seen many tour videos and it looks like a really nice complex. I get the ease of living a Vista, but I'm not a party person and I don't think I'd fit in there as well as I would a Chatham. Just a personal preference. :)

Anyway, it's almost 2am so I should REALLY get to bed haha! Maybe I'll make another vlog next week, but check out the one I just posted below!
